These are some concepts and tools I am exploring.
SKILLS

Social & Emotional Learning
A fundamental component of learning that helps children understand and process their emotions. Programs that I am comfortable with include Responsive Classroom and Second Step.

National Geographic
National Geographic’s Geo-Inquiry Process is an instructional strategy that helps students develop the attitudes, skills, knowledge, and tools of a geographer. It provides a systematic way to investigate and understand the world through the patterns, processes, and interactions between human and natural systems, take action on issues they identify, and make a difference in their own communities.

Inquiry
The inquiry learning style is when teachers leverage learner's questions and curiosities towards small projects or activities.
Apple + Google Products
I am an Apple Teacher and work with Google daily in a variety of contexts with our community.

Design Thinking
Design thinking (DT) is a process and method used to solve complex problems with a focus on students working with an end user. This method involves a process that consists of five phases: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test.
An important component is empathy and reflecting on how to improve the end product for the other person.

SeeSaw
SeeSaw is an application and program that allows students to record and share their work. In addition, parents and students are allowed to provide feedback as well.

Third Culture Kids
In an increasingly interconnected global population, an understanding of the obstacles that Third Culture Kids (TCKs) or children who spend a majority of their life outside of their passport country face are important.
TCRWP ELA Units C

The TCRWP ELA Program helps to inspire strong readers, writers, and inquiries.
A little bit about me and the strengths I bring to my community.
